The Mid Mo Smoke Show 6-23-18 Veganism and BBQ

"Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose" (vegansociety.com). You may think of veganism and BBQ as polar opposites, but today we examine how the two worlds can collide. From meat-alternative bbq, to award winning plant based pulled pork, to lab grown meat, this episode of the Mid Mo Smoke Show certainly offers some food for thought.

Recipe: BBQ Glaze

In a blender put

2 cups Hickory BBQ sauce

2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp maple syrup

½ tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

½ tsp cayenne pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

3 tbsp peach preserves 2 ounces tequila

Blend, then put in a saucepan

Cook over medium heat
