The Mid Mo Smoke Show 5-5-18 The origins of BBQ

This week, guest Mark Hilse joins us to talk about where and how BBQ got started. Learn some of the history and geography of BBQ with the Mid Mo Smoke Show.

Recipe: Smoked Chicken Salad

You will need:

1 large chicken, smoked. Can be grilled

1 celery stalk, split down the middle and chopped

½ onion chopped

1 cup mayo

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp hot sauce if you want some extra kick

After smoking chicken, cool in refrigerator

Pull meat off bones and coarsely chop

Add all ingredients together in a large bowl and mix

Chill at least 1 hour

Serve on crackers, or make a sandwich
