This week Frank gives control over to your Ho-Ho-Host Mike Spearman as he puts Frank and The Czar through the paces with his version of Family Feud with a BBQ twist.
CZAR & Pig Daddy Rib Glaze (21+)
CZAR Apple Pie
1 gallon apple cider
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
25-30 cinnamon sticks, or more to taste
1 pinch apple pie spice
1 (750 milliliter) bottle ever clear
1 (750 milliliter) bottle original spice rub
1.75 liter captain Morgan silver spice
4 Pink lady apples
Combine apple juice, apple cider, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a large pot; bring to almost a boil. Cover pot with a lid, reduce heat, and simmer for about 1 hour. Remove pot from heat and cool completely.
Stir grain alcohol and vodka into syrup and remove cinnamon sticks. Pour apple pie moonshine into clean glass jars or bottles adding two cinnamon sticks and one apple slice per jar. Store in the refrigerator.
HOHOHO Pig Daddy BBQ Apple Pie Simple Syrup
Step 1. Assemble the ingredients:
Step 2. Add ingredients to a small saucepan. Bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce to low and slowly simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. If you want a thicker syrup, simmer it for another 10 minutes, or even longer if you like.
Step 3. Remove from heat and cool in pan for 1 hour.
Step 4. Pour through fine wire mesh strainer to remove any bits of cinnamon.
For the Glaze:
1 cup of syrup
¼ cup of moonshine
1/8 cup apple juice
Mix and use as a spritz or a glaze.
